Business Rule in Oracle SOA 11g Part-1

Step 1: Create an empty BPEL Process as shown below.

Step 2: Read the file of data as shown below.Here I’m going to update Gender M as Male and F as Female.

Step 3: Create a BPEL Process as shown below (Read a file and write the file ).

Step 4: Now go to the Composite.xml. You can see as shown below.

Drag and drop Business Rule component. And select the Input.

Select the root-Element as shown below. And Click ok.

Do same for the output Variable.

Step 4: Connect to the Oracle_Rules1 as shown below. Double Click the Oracle_Rules1.

Select the Plus(+) icon and select Create rule.

Click on insert test.

Select

Select Gender. After that second select .

Enter “M” in the Expression. Then Press ENTER.

Select .

Select “Modify” to update M as Male.

Select and select rootElement.

Select now you will get a pop-up box to set the values.

Now I’m setting gender value as “Male” and press ENTER. Then click ok.

This is the rule what we have created for Male. Similarly do the rule for Female
